The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit seeks applications for a bankruptcy judgeship in the District of Kansas.  Bankruptcy judges are appointed to 14-year terms pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §152.  The position is located in Wichita, Kansas and will be available July 1, 2020, pending successful completion of a background investigation. The current annual salary is $194,028.

The Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals is seeking hotel rooms at a government rate over various dates in 2021 to house federal judges and their law clerks during terms of court in Denver, Colorado.  We are considering splitting the block between law clerks and judges or housing all of them together, which is why this RFP shows three different options for bidding.  Please advise of availability and rates for all three options if possible.

CJA Article Updated On: February 21, 2019, 10:00 am MST

The judiciary’s Defender Services account received funding to increase the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) panel attorney hourly rates from $140 to $148 for non-capital work and from $188 to $190 for capital work performed on or after February 15, 2019. Where the appointment of counsel occurred before February 15, 2019, the new hourly compensation rates apply to that portion of services provided on or after the effective date.
