Chief Judge Mary Beck Briscoe is saddened to announce the passing of the Honorable Robert H. McWilliams, who had served on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals with distinction since 1970.

The term of office is four years, with potential for successive appointments. The current authorized annual salary is $166,500. The Federal Public Defender provides federal criminal defense services to individuals unable to afford counsel.
