DENVER - The current 14-year term of office of Michael E. Romero, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Colorado at Denver, Colorado, is due to expire on December 21, 2017. The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit is presently considering whether to reappoint Judge Romero to a new 14-year term of office.
Upon reappointment, Judge Romero would continue to exercise the jurisdiction of a bankruptcy judge, as specified in Titles 11 and 28 of the United States Code.
