Honorable Mary Beck Briscoe to Take Senior Status

Honorable Mary Beck Briscoe of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals will take senior status effective March 15, 2021. Judge Briscoe received her commission on May 26, 1995 and served as Chief Circuit Judge from 2010 to 2015.
                
She resides in Lawrence, Kansas, and is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law. Prior to joining the federal bench, she was serving on the Kansas Court of Appeals as the chief judge of that court. She also served ten years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas prior to becoming a judge.

Judge Briscoe will continue hearing cases as a Senior Judge.
