Local Rule Change to 10th Circuit Rule 34.1(E)(1)

The court has approved changes to local rule 34.1(E)(1) regarding audio recording of oral arguments. The changes take effect January 22, 2018, and will apply to the January 2018 term of court and all the future terms. Please see the General Order attached here for additional information.

The 2019 Proposed 10th Circuit Rules Have Been Posted for Public Comment

The 2019 proposed 10th Circuit Local Rules have been posted for public comment. From September 17, 2018 through November 6, 2018 the court will accept comments from all interested parties regarding the proposed changes. Comments should be directed to A memo explaining the proposed local rules changes is included below. A final version of the rules will be posted on the court’s website on or about December 1, 2018. For comment purposes we have posted on the website both a clean draft of the proposed rules and a redlined version.

Effective December 1, 2018 there will also be changes/amendments to the Fed. R. App. P. Those amendments are outlined below for informational purposes. Please note in particular the changes made with respect to the time for filing reply briefs.
