The hourly rates payable for providing legal representation in CJA matters will increase from $158 to $164 for non-capital work and from $202 to $210 for capital work performed on or after January 1, 2023. The case compensation maximum amounts (excluding expenses) for non-capital representations will also increase from $8,800 to $9,100 for direct criminal appeals and from $2,600 to $2,700 for appeals of other matters.
