Vacancy Announcement: Federal Public Defender for the District of New Mexico

The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit is accepting applications from all qualified persons for the position of Federal Public Defender for the District of New Mexico. The term of office is four years, with potential for successive appointments. The current authorized annual salary is $166,500. The Federal Public Defender provides federal criminal defense services to individuals unable to afford counsel.
The current Federal Public Defender plans to retire on September 13, 2020 creating a vacancy for the position. The position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
