The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals has upgraded its CM/ECF system to the Next Generation of CM/ECF ("NextGen"). In order to file with court from this point onward, you must have an upgraded PACER account, and you must link your PACER account to your ECF account. Documentation on how to upgrade your PACER account and how to link your PACER account to your ECF account are posted below. You do not need to register for a new ECF account if you already have one- you only need to link it to your PACER account.

Denver—Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Neil M. Gorsuch was confirmed to the United States Supreme Court on April 7, 2017. Judge Gorsuch was appointed to the Tenth Circuit on August 8, 2006.

Chief Judge Tymkovich remarked, “Judge Gorsuch has been an integral member of the Court for over ten years. The Circuit has benefited from his undeniable intellect, work ethic, and collegiality and he will be greatly missed. On behalf of all of his Tenth Circuit colleagues, I offer my congratulations to Judge Gorsuch on his confirmation to the Supreme Court.”

Effective December 1, 2013 the docketing fee for filing an appeal or original proceeding will increase to $500 from $450. With the additional $5 filing fee, (see 28 U.S.C. § 1917), the total amount payable to the district court clerk for filing an appeal will be $505.

The 2017 proposed 10th Circuit Local Rules have been posted for public comment. From August 26, 2016 through October 28, 2016 the court will accept comments from all interested parties regarding proposed changes. Comments should be directed to clerk@ca10.uscourts.gov. A memo explaining the proposed local rules changes, as well as the important and substantial changes to the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure for 2017, is included below. Also included are blackline and redline versions of the rules.
