Appointment of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma

Denver, CO -- On Friday, December 12, 2014, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit appointed Honorable Janice D. Loyd to the bankruptcy bench for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Judge Loyd has served her entire career specializing in bankruptcy practice. Judge Loyd earned her undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. After graduating law school, she entered practice at McClelland, Collins, Bailey, Bailey & Bellingham, where she eventually became managing partner. The firm is now known as Bellingham & Loyd, P.C. She has also served as a Chapter 7 Trustee for 22 years handling over 25,000 cases.

The Honorable Sarah Hall, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma, administered the oath to Judge Loyd on December 12th. Judge Loyd will have chambers in Oklahoma City.

The Tenth Circuit, with administrative headquarters in Denver, Colorado, encompasses the states of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.
